About Me

I'm a former bus conductor, having worked mainly on Birkenhead Corporation and Exeter City buses, with short stints on Chester and Crosville. I've also driven and been an Inspector, but conducting was always my first love.

I'm involved with the preservation movement both in Devon and in Birkenhead and regularly conduct on our Running Days.

I'm also a share-holder in a preserved Fishwick National 2.

I have a few ticket machines, including a Bell Punch, Bellgraphic, Ultimate, TIMs, Almex and various Setrights, with my favourite being a Birkenhead Setright that I used in service.  Would that I could find an Exeter one!

was fortunate enough to meet Valerie after her fantastic performance at the Queens hall Barnstaple. I was given permission to meet her, along with other autograph hunters. I told her how I enjoyed the show and asked how the tour was going. As I was leaving, I picked up courage and asked her if I could give her a kiss on the cheek .she didn't answer ,but leaned over and I give her a peck on the cheek.I'm sure Valerie won't recall. But it's one thing I'll always remember...
